Mama Llama Considers Sulani: Part 5, Old Friends New Beginnings

Since we have been rebuilding Mike and Rose’s castaway world in Sulani, I thought we might take a quick moment to check in with them and see how they are enjoying the move.

I have not abandoned Caiden.

He is doing quite well in the jungle and we will be back to him shortly.

UHHMM …

well …

Maybe we need to hurry!

Mike and Rose were excited about moving to the leeward side of Sulani.

The monsoon that took out most of the homes on the windward side of the island had left them a bit shaken up.

With so many of their close friends moving to the sunny side, Mike and Rose decided to venture that way too.

Using some of the gemstones that they had collected for Dagon’s tribute, they commissioned a beach house.

Both were hesitant to use the gems, being that each one brought them closer to being able to go home.

In the end, Mike insisted that he wanted his family to live comfortably and that he would work a bit harder to find the gems Dagon had required of them.

Auntie Healani and Uncle AmuAmu were so glad to have Rose, Mike, and Houkea stay with them until their new house was ready to move in.

Auntie had missed them all so very much!

Especially Little Houkea.

Healani was happy with her full house and her full heart!

Mike and Rose were delighted to see their sweet friends and spend some time with them again.

Life here was all about ohana (family) and it felt so right.

Little Houkea clung to her dear auntie and refused to be put down.

“My little Princess,” Mike laughed, “you are going to make auntie tired.  Come now, come on down and play.”

Princess did not budge and quite frankly neither did auntie.

There were other reunions to be had!

Rose was delighted to make a visit to her dear friend Makuahine ‘O ka moku (it means Mother of the island).   Also affectionately known as Mama.

If you recall Mama is the island midwife who delivered Houkea.

Mama has a happy brood of seven active children.

With squeals, hugs and happy chatter, it comes as no surprise that the reuniting was loud and energetic.

With Houkea happily glued to aunties hip, Mike and Rose take a bit of time out for themselves.

They visit a romantic local hot spot where folks come from all over Sulani to relax and enjoy themselves.

UH OHHH chil’ you are messing with fire here!

It does have a romantic vibe … but oh my that is bold!

Rose is NOT happy with this!

AND we all know that is #truth!

Say what ???

MORE flirts ???

OH, this might not end well!

Come here, little maid … Rose has got a little something for you!

A piece of her mind perhaps?

Their new home in Sulani is ready.

It is move-in day.

Rose was so excited about the little greenhouse.

Soon she would have fresh fruits, vegetables, and honey to offer her family and friends.

It looks like little Houkea is trying to follow in her mama’s footsteps.

The house has some odd visitors.

Rose attempted contact with the spirits, greeting them with a warm welcome.

A dazzling light circled her body with a delicate embrace and she could hear a soft whisper, “Your graciousness my Queen has earned you great favor.   You will receive an island blessing very soon.”

Rose was perplexed!

An island blessing?

What on earth could that mean?

AND how did they know her?

Life in Sulani is beautiful.

Mike and Rose have adjusted well to the quiet idyllic island life.

AHEM!

Let’s just take a few moments to look over here at the frogs shall we ??  🙂

Houkea is definitely an “island” baby.

She is thriving in sunny Sulani.

Such a happy, happy little girl.

She has a mom and dad who are devoted to one another and who love her dearly too.

(LOL really dad?  Now with the flashcards?  You are at the beach!)

Her little life is one big adventure!

She is loved and doted upon by her island Ohana …

and she is even making some new friends!

Only Houekea could charm someone the likes of Po ele ele! 

He is supposed to be evil with a bad reputation and here ne is making a sand castle with a baby. 

AHH this game … it is so strange!  LOL

Although they are very here happy in Sulani, as Mike heads out to check his fish traps he dreams of building a bigger boat and sailing back to their kingdom in Windenburg.

OHH Mike,  I think you need to dream of an even bigger boat!

Rose has a “little” news for you when you get home!
